Matrix conducted an Organisation Development Review for City Information Services. The review highlighted a number of structural and cultural blockages preventing key managers from accepting and developing full ownership and accountability for desired results from their functions.
Managing Director Stephen Gill engaged Matrix to conduct a development programme during which we advised on an amendment to the management structure and worked on communication and relationship patterns amongst the management team. This work cast new light on the nature of accountability for many managers and the Managing Director has since reported very significant changes in management behaviour and subsequently business performance. We supported the business to produce new, more relevant, role definitions and introduce a more effective performance management system as well as deliver some management development workshops and one-to-one coaching to support the changes.
